The Ethical Tech Fellows program brings together a select cohort of 12-18 early- to mid-career tech and AI builders to participate in a 10-week structured curriculum designed to contextualize the social impact of the decisions and choices made by tech teams bringing digital- and AI-driven products and services to market. Facilitated by industry professionals, activities include lectures and readings, as well as interactive group and individual activities. Fellows develop both leadership and practical skills they can apply to their day-to-day work. These skills will enable them to produce better outcomes for individuals, business and society. At the end of the program, fellows will have the opportunity to present a mini-capstone or project idea to a panel of industry luminaries and receive valuable, actionable feedback.
The structure of the fellows program allows fellows to continue working their day jobs without significant disruption. This is a unique learning, leadership, and networking opportunity for motivated and passionate individuals who want their tech and AI oriented work to support human flourishing and who believe companies can do well by doing good.
The inaugural fellowship cohort will kick off in April and continue through June, meeting on Wednesday evenings, with approximately half of meetings in person in NYC.

Our flagship program, the Ethical Tech Project Fellows program, trains early- to mid-career technology and AI builders in a proprietary curriculum developed in partnership with Columbia University’s Digital Futures Institute and industry subject matter experts. Unlike academic tech ethics curricula and programs, the ETP Fellows program is designed to ground tech ethics, responsible AI practices, privacy, and responsible tech in real-world context that builders encounter in the day-to-day of their jobs.
We’re proud that our Fellows say our content is engaging and impactful – 100% of the Fellows we’ve trained said they’d use what they learned in their professional lives, and felt that they had a stronger network in the ethical tech community.
ETP Fellows are an incredible group of engineers, military veterans, cybersecurity experts, product leaders, founders, and data scientists from a wide range of employers. We have trained tech and AI builders whose work touches millions of people.
I am deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to join this fellowship and learn from so many talented and knowledgeable people in the ethical tech space. As someone early into their career, this enabled me to think much more critically about how I can engage responsibly with technology in my own capacity at work, and I suspect I’ll carry many of these insights with me throughout my long-term professional career.
